If you’ve been in Network Marketing for a while then you’re probably living through the vast changes that are taking place in the way that we do business.

If you’re not in Network Marketing, then you probably think that Network Marketing is still ONLY being conducted like it was in the yesteryear, with hotel presentations, and popping videos in people’s VCR’s at home parties.

Well, if that’s the case then you’re half right, because those old school techniques do still work.

But, of course we all know that the internet has changed things drastically.

Now, as Network Marketers we can reach people all over the world, as quickly and easily as we can people right down the street. Some might even argue quicker and easier since there’s really no physical activity other than creating an online presence.

As Network Marketing professionals, my partner and wife Ann and I don’t feel that we need to abandon all of the old school methods that work just because the new technological things work too.

We feel that we can cover a wide spectrum using both, and that’s why we’ve created huge organizations both locally and world wide.

But… we have embraced the online network marketing world with wide open arms and to make life easier we use some very valuable tools that we wouldn’t give up for the world.

Here are some of those tools:

Blogs: Most likely, you’re reading this article on one of our blogs so there’s no doubt that they work, or there shouldn’t be anymore doubt in your mind at least. Blogs are our way, of letting you the reader know who we are, and to keep up with what the heck we’re up to.

Social Networking: When social networking first came about, it was thought to just be a place where kids could go instead of doing their homework. However, a few smart people embraced it, and we’re still embracing it.

Now sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many others are places that are helping us grow our global reach daily.

Skype: Oh what would I do without my glorious Skype? Skype has become a very big part of my business, and I can use it in a multitude of ways. First of all, if you’ve been in this business for any long amount of time, you know that phone bills often would eat up a ton of profits. Those days are over with Skype and other V.O.I.P. software, because you can call anyone for virtually free, or one flat rate. That helps a ton.

Next is the fact that I can actually prospect on Skype. That’s right, I have millions of users at my fingertips, and I only need to send them a message to get a response. Not spam, I send them a friendly welcoming message - there’s a huge difference.

I can also chat back and forth and answer my downline and upline’s questions throughout the day on Skype.

There are too many benefits to Skype to list them all here, because I also want to talk about…

Web Conference Software: So I mentioned the hotel meetings, and home meetings that you’re so used to hearing about in the old Network Marketing days. Now today with a global reach you have to be able to get together with your team and prospects and be able to rely on the software that you’re using as well.

We personally use iVocalize for our web conferencing, but there are tons and tons of them out there. Just Google “web conferencing” and you’ll find more than you need.

So there are some of the most vital tools that we use for our network marketing, and these are just some of the most basic. There are plenty more though, so look out for a follow up article about that.

Fountain Of life is a new network marketing company that has just launched in the US out of Texas and this article is an open look at what is most important when considering to be a representative for this company. The actual product that is being distributed is called Vanu which is a combination of berries and such that creates a superfood that is great for the body and tastes great because of the sweeteners that have been added.

The compensation plan is similar to many other MLM company’s on the market, however, there are a few things that I can tell you that might make a difference for you, if you are looking at joining the Fountain of Life company as a distributor.

From what I understand, the marketing plan is a based on the ‘unilevel’ compensation structure which means that as you introduce other distributors to the organisation they are not placed directly under you but rather as the next person to join the end of your legs.

This means that they do not know their direct sponsor and as such may not get the support and training that they would want.

Is that a problem? I do not know… but I know this much… there are some very important principles for ANY company and ANY distributor to succeed in Network marketing and here they are.

1) Leadership. For any MLM company that is launching it is VITALLY important that they are able to attract top leaders from around the MLM world who can bring in other leaders and distributors to get the company of to a great start and provide a solid platform for ongoing training programs and leadership development. So look for the leadership that Fountain Of Life is attracting in terms of other successful Network Marketers.

2) Investment Capital. At some point as any expands it is going to require enough capital to help it grow and keep up with sales volume and distributor growth. This means more investment in products, opening new markets, shipping and training of its sales organisation and many other factors that are CRITICAL for this company to ‘whether’ in order to grow at a sustainable rate. So look for who has invested into the company and how much they have invested and for how long.

3) Marketing. The life blood of any successful company is FRESH PROSPECTS looking at the products and opportunity. To create the leads necessary what is most important is the ability to market successfully and to convert those leads into paying happy customers. Does Fountain Of Life provide any form of marketing platform to support its distributors along these lines? That is something that you will want to investigate when considering this or any company to be a distributor of.

As I do not have a tremendous amount of knowledge about Fountain For Life, I am unable to provide you with the specifics on the company, but if you do your research using the criteria I have outlined above, then you will be in a much better position to make an informed decision about whether or not this is the company for you.

Perhaps you have been presented recently with the ACN opportunity.Just maybe if you’re new to the network marketing industry, the question you ask yourself “is ACN a fraud?” The following article may assist you in determining if ACN is a fraud.

Our first criterion in determining if ACN is a fraud is to ask the question “what is ACN?” ACN is a telecommunications company that began operation in 1993. They are a privately owned company which means they are not traded on any stock exchanges. They currently operate in 19 countries from North America to Europe, down to Australia and New Zealand. Revenues for ACN currently exceed half a billion dollars.

Just in the bio alone we see significant indications detailing how ACN is a very viable company. With revenues in excess of half a billion dollars, major expansion in infrastructure and global reach the question of is ACN a fraud seems to be answered.

A second way to determine if ACN is a fraud is to look up resources such as MLM Rankings. You can find such information by doing a Google search and typing in “mlm rankings” (do it with the quotation marks). This is where you will discover that ACN ranks higher than other network marketing opportunities 95% of the time. That is somewhat impressive in of its own.

Finally, look at who is endorsing the company, the one and only Donald Trump. If you are currently thinking “well yeah but he is paid to endorse them” you’re absolutely correct. However let’s be somewhat realistic, the man and his people will investigate if ACN is a fraud or truly legit (which by the way it is). His people will do back ground and integrity reviews.

They will check out the financial health of the company and what it’s short and long range business plans are.

ACN is not a fraud and is quite honestly a very ethical company. you will have to do your due diligence on this or any MLM, Direct Sales company and see if its a proper fit with you and your goals

Ann Sieg, author of The Renegade Network Marketer, says that success depends on positioning yourself as a leader. I have found that I can set myself apart from other network marketers by providing my prospects with valuable information, even before they ever sign onto my opportunity.

This is what’s known as education marketing. Educational marketing is one way to establish yourself as a leader in the field of network marketing. If you’re going to give educational marketing a try, you must first know what you should be educating your prospects about. The answer? How to build a business.

The Benefits of Educational Marketing

At first glance, this seems counter intuitive. After all, if they know how to build a business, why would they sign up for your opportunity? Why not strike out on their own? According to Ann Sieg, the reason for teaching your prospects how to build a business is two-fold.

First, reading about starting a business will get them excited about your opportunity. They will say to you, “Now that I know how to start a business, I need a business to start!” Luckily, it turns out you have an opportunity just waiting for them! What you have also done is convert your business opportunity into an “add-on” sale. That is, rather than trying to sell the opportunity upfront, you are offering it at a later time when your customer’s interest is piqued. Your prospects want to know how their investment is going to translate into profit. If you can provide them with the answers, you will gain their trust, and you will be the person they turn to when they are ready to get started. I had an opportunity to put this theory into practice at a recent Networking Event and was surprised at the amount of interest I generated by sharing some of the knowledge I had gained by reading the e book. At least four people approached me following the meeting to get more information from me.

Conclusion

Educational marketing possesses true value. The plain old sales pitch does not possess value. Your information product, then, should not be a sales pitch disguised as an article or e book. The information should stand alone as a worthwhile retail product. Providing your prospects with informative, entertaining and unique content should be your focus. Investing in a person before they have committed to you is the best way to prove that you truly care about their success.

As I was going through the training I have to say it was actually fun to build a business from the ground up. And it did not take hundreds of thousands to make it happen. Or a college degree. Simple minded people like my husband and me built a business from scratch. You can do it to. You do not have to have a business back ground or have knowledge in computers. That’s what the training is for.

Just to let you know my husbands job has him leaving every other week for a week at a time. So I am home by myself taking care of 4 children and running a new business. So far we have been successful at getting our business up and running. I stress this again to all you stay at home moms who desire something better for their families. It CAN be done. You can help make a better life for yourself and your family.

I also can’t leave out that it does take time. Like my good friend Jerry told me”Rome wasn’t built in a day.” In the internet marketing business comes with a learning curve. Get passed that and your in. It is all about teamwork. Helping and supporting each other. Patting each other on the back. If you can find a company that has a strong team building concept you will succeed at a good pace.

Another good thing about this business is that if you have a problem with lying guess what? You don’t have to! You don’t have to steal, lie or cheat to make a sizable income. In the end it is all how you feel about yourself. Just remember you can do it and be a stay at home mom. It is being done all over the world. With the success of this business you get to walk away with:

I’m sure you don’t want to spend your life just working and not enjoying life. If life is to be enjoyed then you have to make the best of it. Like spending time with your family, travelling, learning a new language, playing your favorite sports, shopping.
