Network Marketing - Transform A Generic Network Marketing Lead Into A Qualified Lead
By Kamsani Mohd
Every network marketer knows that to survive in a network marketing business you have to have a large quantity of leads. If you fail to generate leads, it is almost like your business venture is going to fail. On the other hand, successful generation of these leads is considered the guaranteed way of succeeding in your home business.
Whether you are involved in multi-level marketing or any other kind of marketing network endeavor, it does not matter as the same principles apply. Nobody can deny this truth; however, it is important that you are able to tell the difference between generic marketing leads from qualified MLM network leads.
So who are the unqualified leads? They are the people that you meet on the streets. Most of them are complete strangers whom you give your business cards during conferences, career exhibitions and seminars. Even your relatives and friends might be the best examples of generic marketing leads! You are able to give them your sales presentation simply because they respect and love you. But, they are not qualified leads because they have not actually expressed any interest in the products you are selling or the company you are representing.
However, there is a chance that you can transform any lead, no matter how generic and unqualified, into a qualified one. Unfortunately, you have to realize that this will take some time and it depends on your skills, knowledge, burning desire and determination.
A qualified lead on the other hand usually is a person who has requested information from you or your website. They want more information about the products and business you are promoting and also the service you are providing. A qualified lead might also be someone who is already familiar with the network marketing industry and wants to start a business but might still be searching for just the right company to join.
Obviously, those leads are worth more than the generic leads! You would think that every qualified lead will turn into a customer or downline member who will earn you a residual income? By no means! In fact, the person may decide against buying your product or joining your business.
Some network marketers may also drive qualified leads away because of his aggressiveness or incompetence. Generally, it is a lot easier, if you are marketing to a qualified lead than trying to persuade a generic lead to join your business.
Thus, a new network marketer might be tempted to buy qualified leads in order to jumpstart his business. Purchasing qualified leads may be expensive but it is an investment worth making! These leads are usually produced during conferences and seminars when people are being explained to the concept of network marketing and express interest in knowing more about the industry.
There is also an effective way of generating qualified leads on the internet. You can build lead capture pages and advertise them on traffic exchanges, pay-per-click campaigns or other resources. Some companies even provide free lead capture pages in order for you to generate your own leads.
However, you have to realize the fact that there is no guarantee in network marketing, so even if you differentiate generic marketing lead from qualified MLM network lead and not spend even one penny on an unqualified lead, you may still not close the deal! Only hard work and persistence will make you successful in this industry.
