MLM Lead Generation - Online Vs Offline

There are two “schools” of thought when it comes to generating MLM leads…
Online, and
Offline.
Everywhere online, if you’re looking for MLM lead generation, you’ll be told that you are crazy if you’re writing down a list of family and friends.
However, for the most part if you ask your upline for advice on online lead generation they will tell you that you’re crazy to consider it as what they’re doing right now has working for “generations”.
So who do you believe?
It comes down to what is right for YOU.
I know, that sounds like some form of “Cop Out” but here’s the reality:
It is a ONE WAY STREET.
You’re either going towards online lead generation, or you’re not. Simple.
Let’s look at the “pros” and “cons” of the two forms of lead generation:
OFFLINE:
Pro’s: It’s easy to write out a list of family and friends. It’s actually duplicatable.
Cons: It’s not a targeted list. It’s not easy to generate a large list. It’s difficult to call that list, because, well - they’re your family and friends. It’s time consuming. Often geographically limited.
ONLINE:
Pro’s: You can get people contacting you (not the other way around), it can happen from any country, 24/7, It’s a targeted list. You can give people information and services that will help them grow their business. You can generate thousands of leads online.
Cons: It’s time consuming to begin with, because there is a technology “learning curve”, Not often “duplicatable” unless you’re using specific systems to help you and your team duplicate lead generation.
So you can see there are actually two sides to this story!
However, one thing can be said that is absolutely true: more people are going online today that ever before, and are exposed to new ideas and opportunities than ever before.
With that said, it will become increasingly more difficult for those distributors who choose NOT to embrace online lead generation systems to stand out in the marketplace, as their “prospects” will be more and more internet savvy and will be researching online before they even come close to the distributors company.
