MLM Leadership - 3 Traits of a True MLM Leader

Much is talked about in the network marketing industry about MLM leadership, but few ever define the characteristics of what makes a true one. There are three characteristics that all MLM leaders have and that you should develop if you aspire to be one.
Probably the most important MLM leadership characteristic is that of having a servant mindset. True leaders believe in the law of reciprocity and that they must give first in order to receive. Combining this with a servant mindset means that network marketing leaders help others without want, often helping those not even in their organization to achieve what they want to in their business.
In particular, they take a keen interest in their downline, focusing their time and effort on making them successful first and serving their needs before working their own business tasks.
Those in a true MLM leadership position also lead by example. They accomplish and do things that they are asking their downline to do. For example, if there is a big drive for new members, are those leaders out there actively enrolling people into their own personal business? If they are telling their downline how to generate leads on the internet, are they doing it themselves? Are those network marketing leaders actively recruiting new business builders online with the latest techniques and showing their downline how to do the same?
Finally, a person with true MLM leadership is able to show the way for others by providing systems for their downline to use and emulate. Unfortunately, sometimes MLM uplines simply let their new business builder figure things out for themselves, telling them to make a list of 100 people, and just call them about their products or opportunity. This is not a true recruiting and marketing system for others to emulate. These systems should be easy to plug into for their downline and take them step by step through the process of how to grow their MLM business. Eventually, these systems should grow and nurture their downlines so that they themselves can grow and provide leadership in that organization.
True MLM leadership has these three basic characteristics to it. If you hope to be recognized as a leader one day in your organization, then take the time and effort to develop yourself and acquire these traits. It will only help you grow your organization.
