Starting a MLM business can be a difficult experience and some owners turn to buying leads to drum up business. Since everyone is salivating for new business, there is a constant search for something and some way to make money. Every MLM entrepreneur is confronted by the opportunity to buy MLM leads at one time or another, but there is always the nagging question, “Does buying leads really work?” The answer to that question is an emphatic “no.”

Regardless of how fresh and new the opportunity claims to be and despite how many testimonies you read about how buying leads generates money and gets customers, buying leads is an unnecessary lesson that will cost you lots of time and tons of money.

Without the money, skills and drive necessary to make you money, the leads are worthless. However, if buying leads is your choice, find a company that is specialized in leads for your type of business. Often times, your MLM company will have recommendations for them. Again, there is no guarantee to the quality of leads.

In addition to desire, knowledge and money, you must also have contacts that are familiar with your market and products. Buying leads does not guarantee contacts that have the experience you are looking for. Many services will claim to provide thousands of leads that are perfectly tailored for your business. They will also claim that buying leads from them will put you in touch with countless MLM experts. But these grand claims are used to charge you more money and you will be stuck paying for worthless leads that have no understanding of your business. Read the fine print ‘- even their guarantee is subject to their discretion.

The likelihood of cold-calling the perfect MLM candidate for your business is slim to none and buying leads will only lead to more frustration. The key to growing your MLM business is being proactive and smart with your time and money. You will never get anywhere by using outdated methods that don’t provide a quick turnaround of cash and business.
