How to Become a Gold Medal Winner in the Network Marketing Arena

Michael Phelps has won 8 gold medals over a one week period at the Olympics being held in Beijing. He has broken the record previously held by Mark Spitz and Carl Lewis. This is truly an amazing accomplishment. One might ask what does it take to accomplish something that special. Although he accomplished it in a short period of time, we must recognize all the work and effort behind the scenes. Also, there are certain characteristics that he as well as other athletes had to display in order to get to the top. These same characteristics are needed to succeed in any venture one takes on in life including getting to the top of a Network Marketing company.
Dedication is the first step needed to achieve ones goals. These athletes are willing to make sacrifices that in the end will help them reach their goals. Top athletes know they can not waver at the first sign of defeat. When building a business one has to have that same dedication and be willing to make sacrifices.
Focus is also necessary. With so many possible distractions and such a long time required to train for the Olympics it is easy for one to lose focus. Four years in between events is a long time. These athletes keep their eyes on the prize and recognize they can only control what they do. Consider the focus that Nastia Liukin displayed during the gymnastics all-around competition. When the cameras panned to her while others were performing their events, she seemed to be meditating and focused on her performance. She recognized that she could only control her efforts in the event. As a network marketer you have to display that same focus because achieving the top level in a company for the first time can take years at times. If you let negative thoughts get to you, or get distracted by other things in life it can throw you off your course. Focus on the goal and don’t let anyone hold you back from achieving it.
Without years of training none of these athletes would be able to win the gold. Training for some begins at a young age. During the years between the Olympics these athletes train hard to be prepared. Their training is very different from someone who goes to the gym simply to stay in shape. They spend many hours a day getting their body in shape for the events they will be competing in. Proper and consistent training is needed to have success in Network Marketing. In order to get to the top one has to learn from individuals that know how to market their business. Having the right mentor/trainer has a huge impact on your personal success. The most successful athletes pick people they know will help them get in the best shape possible. In some cases this proves to be former olympians. When building your business I am sure you would agree you need to work with people that understand how to do this business the right way. Who you work with is usually more important than what company you are with.
Finally, teamwork is necessary to get to the top. Michael Phelps won a three of his eight gold medals in relay events. In those events he had to work with the others in that group and trust in them in order to win. The team was composed of top athletes. The same goes for building your business. You can not do it alone. It takes a team of leaders for you to succeed. Seek out these people and all of you can go to the top together.
The components to success are dedication, focus, training, mentor, and teamwork. This will prove to be the winning combination to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
