Look Before You Leap - What to Ask Yourself Before Joining a MLM Company
By Megan Martinez
There are a few questions to ask yourself when looking at a company or opportunity to join. The compensation is one of the first things to look at, complexity vs. simplicity. Ask yourself, does the compensation plan pay in direct proportion to the value of product or service delivered? What kind of plan is it? Binary, Matrix, Breakaway and Bonus, Percentage Based, Unilevel or Forced Matrix? Is it a qualifying plan? You get the picture. Out of 40 thousand network marketing companies that have been started in the last 50 years, only 50 of them are over 10 years old! Think about those numbers for a minute.
Does the product stand alone? Is there someone in this company making 100k per year without recruiting? Is there a minimal inventory you must purchase? Is there a high front end load (the amount of $$$ it takes to get started)?
One of the most important factors, in my opinion, is the timing if the product or company, Ex: you might not want to start an audio cassette company or an LP company because the industry has evolved into digital audio.
And last but not least, WHY. Why do you want to join this company or opportunity: time freedom, extra income, or just something to do?
Whatever the reason or company you join, or maybe have already gotten involved in, I can guarantee that self development is key, and there are some generic trainings out there that are in place to help you succeed in YOUR business.
To your success.

Network marketing is great as long as you ask yourself the right questions when you are looking to join up! It can also be not so great if you do not have the knowledge to research the different companies and opportunities before you decide to give one a try! Once you are involved in MLM, why not learn how to use ATTRACTION marketing. It’s absolutely amazing! Get potential clients and associates to come to you rather than chasing people down.
