Many times, the reason why you’ve joined a company is because someone promised you wealth and freedom. Many MLM companies spend millions of dollars to create a high quality product that they are proud of however when you’re introduced to these companies you are pitched on opportunity and not product benefits. In this article we will be discussing why MLM companies choose to lead with the opportunity and why you should lead with product benefits.
The reason why MLM companies teach these techniques is because they are just companies like any other company and they want to insure their survival first and foremost. Leading with opportunity builds more excitement and insures a fresh number of new enrollees into their organization every single day. These MLM companies are very aware of statistics and if they tried to lead with the benefits of the products like retail company do it would insure their failure. The average distributor does spend a great deal of time talking about product and service quality, however it will still be centered around opportunity which builds more excitement.
The products being sold by MLM companies are more expensive than similar products sold in stores and the reason why they choose the network marketing concept is because they realize their products require more explanation. They are also aware that the average distributor spends between $100 and $400 within the first 90 days trying to grow their business If you truly believe in your products and you’re not having financial success yourself you are being dishonest to tell someone else that you’ll show them how to succeed. Another stat is that the average distributor quits between 90 and 120 days after enrolling. When you lead with the product, you will enroll distributors who were interested in using the product and not just making money. This will cause two things to happen. They will stay for years instead of months because they love the products, and they will purchase more than just the bare minimum in order to qualify for a commission check. Since all MLM companies pay you based on organization volume and not the amount of distributors enrolled, it means much larger and more stable commission checks for you.
