Why Brand Recognition Can Give You a Head Start in Network Marketing

By Scott Geertsen

One tool which is readily accepted in most forms of marketing for which has yet to make it to full acceptance in network marketing, is the tool of brand recognition. The vast majority of network marketers simply promote the product or service which the company offers, and also the accompanying business opportunity.

They promote these exactly the same way as thousands of other distributors within the same organization, and so they can only expect mediocre results. To rise above this, you need to develop brand recognition. You need to be different from the crowd, and have something to offer which they do not.

If you start by marketing your products successfully, you can then expand into marketing yourself. The fact that you have marketed your product successfully will give you a basis on which to build. There will be other marketers who will be looking to join an organization similar to the one you are promoting. If you have branded yourself as a business expert, and positioned yourself as a market leader, you will be in prime position to attract these people into your organization.

You can develop marketing materials which will explain to your prospects how you have managed to build your successful organization. These marketing materials will help brand you as a business leader, and will be effective in helping your prospects to believe that you are the solution to their problems.

It is important not to rush ahead with this, and to take the time to learn to market your product effectively before you begin to brand yourself. If you have no track record, you will just come across as a cowboy. When you have proved yourself as a product marketer, you will have the necessary track record to begin promoting yourself as a business. At this point, you have the potential to grow your organization through the Internet, and to vastly increase the profits you make from your network marketing business.
